Have you ever wondered what makes a good leader? Is it a gift or an innate skill? Everyone knows change is a constant in healthcare but why do some organizations navigate it better than others do? This session explores the characteristics of a successful leader. With a focus on communication, tips and tools, the speaker offers real world examples to assist practice executives demonstrate their expertise.

 

Objectives:

·         Articulate the characteristics of a leader and actions to demonstrate one’s professional competency;

·         Identify the principles of change management and the obstacles to success; and

·         Outline the components of strategic planning and its role in a medical practice.
